Evaluation: Promoting Family‐Based Care in Cambodia: Evaluation of Childcare Reform Projects

USAID

This is an evaluation that promotes family-based care in Cambodia. The purpose of this evaluation is to prevent and respond to violence, abuse, and exploitation.  This evaluation assesses two alternative care projects: “Strengthening child protection systems in Cambodia to prevent and respond to violence, abuse, exploitation and unnecessary separation of children,” and "The Family Project." The evaluation assesses the impact these projects have on the stakeholders.

According to the evaluation, participants in the project had an increased rate of reintegration over non-participants. Children in the above programs also spent less time in residential care prior to reintegration.
