WHAT:  A leaflet for parents on how to help your child cope during an evacuation or relocation in an emergency. 

WHO:  Parents, caregivers, and social and community workers working in an emergency, or those involved in psychosocial work.

WHERE:  This leaflet has been written for a US audience however it can be easily adapted to suit other locations and scenarios. 

WHY:  This leaflet can be distributed to caregivers in preparing for or responding to a change in the child’s home environment as a result of an emergency.  It is particularly relevant when the child and family are to be evacuated together or when the child is to stay with alternative caregivers.
