WHAT:  Outlines additional actions and considerations foster care workers should follow when implementing the IFCO Guidelines for Foster Care. Provides supplemental guidance for foster care agencies, social workers, children in foster care, foster caregivers and birth parents.

WHERE:  Global relevance

WHAT:  It gives concrete guidance on the training of foster care agency staff, the assessment of the protection and development of the foster child, the assessment of foster care applicants, the training of foster caregivers, and the rights and responsibilities of birth parents.
