The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (UN SRSG) on Violence against Children (VAC) was appointed in response to the recommendations of the UN Study on Violence against Children. The SRSG on VAC serves as a high-profile, global independent advocate to promote prevention and elimination of violence against children in all care settings.
BCN and SOS have co-led the UN SRSG on Violence Against Children to facilitate a series of regional consultations on Violence and Care, the first one having happened in Brazil in December 2014.
