An investigation into an “orphanage of terror” in the north of Romania was launched this week by Romanian prosecutors, according to this article from South China Morning Post. "Researchers say the 340 children died between 1980 and 1989 in the orphanage in the city of Siret. Opened in 1956, the facility hosted 8,500 children with neurological disorders until it was closed in 2001."
