Statement: Once the Royal Commission releases its report, Australia must change

Amy Lamoin - UNICEF Australia

In this statement from UNICEF Australia, Amy Lamoin, Director of Policy and Advocacy, calls on Australia to take the recommendations issued by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and turn them into "non-politicised, results-oriented policy change and policy platforms for the protection of children in Australia." This includes ensuring the safety and protection of children in out of home care and addressing the overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in the child protection system.
