This guide is for children and young people who are about to leave or have left alternative care services and provides life skills resources and advice targeted to this group. Government institutions, non-profits, civil society, and other actors supporting this group are encouraged to print and distribute this resource to them. This guide has been produced by Changing the Way We CareSM, a global initiative implemented by Catholic Relief Services, Maestral International, and Lumos Foundation, along with other global, national and local partners working together to change the way we care for children around the world.
This guide includes advice and resources on the following topics: accessing education, taking care of your health, CV and job interview tips, managing personal finances, and interacting with the police, identity documentation, and how to make your voice heard in public life. It will help you find answers to many of the questions that bother you and will help you find What? How? and Who? can help you in life!
