Save the Children

The COVID-19 Pandemic poses immediate and long-lasting risks to the rights of children including the disruption of access to education, the potential for reduced access to primary and secondary health services, and increased protection risks.

Save the Children is responding to these risks. This situation report describes progress on key areas of Save the Children's response as of May 18th, 2020.

The four pillars of Save the Children's response are:

1. Preventing and managing the spread of the pandemic

2. Helping children learn, stay safe and return to school

3. Providing safety nets for families in need

4. Keeping children, families and communities safe
