Early Childhood Development: A Critical Investment

Aga Khan Foundation

Are you a policymaker or decisionmaker in your community or country? Does your work in health and nutrition, education, child protection, agriculture and food security, WASH, emergency preparedness, or some other field have connections to early childhood development? Chances are that your work does relate to the critical period of child development from conception to age eight years.

This workshop draws upon content from the Nurturing Care Framework, the Science of Early Child Development and the Beginning of Life film, to walk participants through why investing in early childhood is so important, including scientific and economic evidence. This multi-media workshop includes four modules of videos, followed by the opportunity to join a live webinar or in-person workshop to support action planning in your context. The video portion of the workshop is approximately 1.5 hours of learning, including the activities in the Reflection Journal.
