The Australian Parliament has released a Report of its inquiry into establishing a Modern Slavery Act in Australia. This Inquiry Report recognizes orphanage trafficking as a form of modern slavery to be included in the Act. Part 8 of the Report is dedicated to recommendations on orphanage trafficking, including a piece on international orphanage tourism and donations from Australia. This section includes testimony from ReThink Orphanages; Better Volunteering, Better Care Initiative; Lumos; ChildSafe Campaign; and others.
