Law No. 140 on the special protection of children at risk and of children separated from their parents entered into force on 1 January 2014. It establishes the procedures of identification, evaluation, assistance, referral, monitoring and record keeping of children at risk and children separated from their parents, as well as the authorities and structures in charge of the enforcement of these procedures.
