In June 2022, hundreds of care reform leaders gathered to discuss the importance of providing adequate public financing to strengthen families and protect children in Moldova and across the globe. Conference speakers advocated for the provision of a minimum packages of services for families and children.
The Investing in Family Care for Moldova’s Future report was released at the conference making the case that these services are a sound investment with high returns, savings to both individuals and government, and increased lifetime earnings, access to adequate services, increased life expectancy, improved health, and reduction in poverty.
The conference was organized with technical assistance and funding from USAID, MacArthur Foundation, and GHR Foundation via Changing the Way We Care, UNICEF, and the World Bank.
