Since 1995, the Government of Zambia has developed national policies in several specific areas of health. This document, however, outlines an overarching National Health Policy for Zambia. The Policy has been developed within the context of the Vision 2030 and has taken into consideration other relevant national, regional and global health related policies, protocols and strategic frameworks, including the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
