Kathryn Joyce discusses the issues that one mother in Uganda faced when she put her child up for adoption. The mother witnessed her son face serious neglect and abuse. He became seriously ill, and because of legal red tape, she was nearly unable to provide him the care he needed. She attempted to reclaim her child, but received extreme opposition against that as well.
In addition to sharing this woman's story, Joyce discusses the adoption industry in Ethiopia, and the ethical issues adoptive parents in the U.S. face.
