This is the report of the 3rd Biennial International Conference (3rd BICON) on “Evolving Trends in Alternative Care for Children in South Asia” that was convened by Udayan Care on March 16 & 17, 2018 at Amity University, Noida NCR (India). This report begins with a dedicated chapter on the objectives and background information on the 3rd BICON. Chapter 2 is a desk review providing an overview on the subject at the international level on various aspects of children whilst Chapter 3 is a detailed situational analysis of the subject in hand in South Asian countries. The report captures the detailed discussions and deliberations that took place over the two days in Chapters 4 and 5 and documents the key recommendations in Chapter 6 as the way forward on the BICONs. Chapter 7 is an analysis of the feedback received from participants post the conference as well as documenting all the main annexes to the report.
