100&Change: The Finalists Live

MacArthur Foundation

The MacArthur Foundation's 100 & Change initiative is a competition for a $100 million grant to fund a single proposal that promises real and measurable progress in solving a critical problem of our time. The Foundation will be hosting an event on December 11th to bring all of the finalists together for a full day of activities, including a final, livestreamed presentation from each finalist. One of the finalists, Changing the Way We Care, is a project and partnership between Lumos, Catholic Relief Services, and Maestral International aimed at keeping families together and preventing and ending the institutionalization of children. Advisory Board member Stephen Ucembe,  Founder of the Kenya Society of Care Leavers and Regional Advocacy Manager for Hope and Homes for Children, will be joining Changing the Way We Care for the final event. After the board deliberates on December 11th, the Foundation will then announce a single recipient to receive $100 million over and up to six years.

The Livestream will begin at 9.30am CST and Changing the Way We Care will present at around 11.45am CST.
