En América Latina y el Caribe hay personas que vivieron en cuidados alternativos y dedican su tiempo a mejorar la vida de niños, niñas y adolescentes separados de sus familias. Nos preguntamos qué ideas tienen, cómo las llevan a cabo y qué los/as motiva.
Somos un equipo de investigadores y jóvenes egresados de protección, e hicimos un mapeo para conocer a estas personas y aprender de sus activismos. ¡Conversamos con más de 60 activistas de 19 países!
El 27 de octubre a las 17.30 (UTC-3) presentaremos los resultados de estos esfuerzos y dialogaremos con jóvenes activistas para escuchar sus recomendaciones para fortalecer la participación de niños, niñas, adolescentes y jóvenes en los temas que les afectan.

In Latin America and the Caribbean, there are people who have lived in alternative care and are dedicated to improving the lives of children separated from their families and care leavers. We wondered what ideas they have, how they carry them out and what motivates them.
We are a team of professional researchers and young care leavers. We mapped the region to meet these people and learn from their activism. We interviewed over 60 care-experienced activists from 19 countries!
On October 27 at 16.30 (ET) we will present the results of these efforts and dialogue with young activists to hear their recommendations to strengthen the participation of children, adolescents and youth in the issues that affect them.
