Eurochild and SOS Children’s Villages International will launch their report documenting case studies from across Europe on the protection and integration of refugee and migrant children. The launch event ‘Let Children be Children: Lessons from the Field on the Protection and Integration of Refugee and Migrant Children in Europe’ will take place on Monday 4 December 2017 from 09:30 to 13:00 in the Committee of the Regions premises, Rue Belliard 101, B-1040 Brussels.
The event will bring together decision makers, CSOs and relevant stakeholders from EU, national and local levels to discuss how the responses of child protection systems can be improved to better protect the rights of refugee and migrant children. The debate will in particular focus on how lessons from the ground can better inform policy implementation. We will also exchange on how actors from EU, national and local levels can better cooperate to ensure that refugee and migrant children are treated as children.
