The current generation of young individuals will become the next generation of leaders. To equip them with opportunities would mean equipping society’s future in solving humanity’s most pressing problems.
Yet, many brilliant youths are never able to achieve their full potential in their lifetime due to a variety of factors, including lack of recognition, isolation, lack of access to opportunities for development, and social and economic barriers. Such factors prevent them from using their talents for good. What does it take to find, nurture and transform such individuals, who are often under the radar, into the potential leaders that they can become?
An initiative of Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust, Rise is a program that finds brilliant people who need opportunity and supports them as they work to serve others. From access to need-based scholarships to mentorship, Rise journeys alongside brilliant young people as they build a better future for all.
In this interactive webinar, AVPN invites youth-centred organisations and interested youths to:
- Explore how programmes like Rise can transform communities through the power of young people
- Learn more about the application process or how you can spread the word amongst your youth communities
- Witness the power of “Lost Einsteins” ( a term coined by the Equality of Opportunity project at Harvard University).
