About the role

Are you passionate about improving the experiences and life opportunities of Scotland’s children who are in need of care and protection? This role offers an exciting opportunity to work as part of CELCIS’s Improving Care Experiences Team.

You will work in partnership with the Scottish Government, local authorities and their partners, third sector and other key stakeholders to improve services and outcomes for children in need of care and protection, with a particular focus on children in residential child care, foster care and kinship care.

You will form part of the Improving Care Experiences team, who provide a focal point for the improvement of experiences and services nationally and locally through supporting whole systems change. This will involve working externally with key stakeholders across the sector using a range of improvement approaches to create sustainable change that is grounded in evidence based practice.

About you

You will be a compassionate, and caring individual who has strong relationship-building skills required to lead, support and encourage systemic and strategic change.

The post also requires the ability to travel throughout Scotland. The successful post holder may work flexibly and/or remotely with the requirement to travel to CELCIS in Glasgow for regular meetings.

Qualifications/Experience

You will have a relevant degree and/ or appropriate professional qualification, with significant experience in a range of directly relevant roles. You will have considerable experience of management, leading projects, and contributing to and realising an organisations strategic and business plans.
