UNICEF is seeking a Child Protection Specialist for Ending Child Marriage. The Child Protection Specialist (Ending Child Marriage) will develop and support the work of the office on ending child marriage, particularly through the Joint Programme. The Child Protection Specialist supports the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of progress of child protection programmes within the Section. The Child Protection Specialist provides technical guidance and programme management support throughout the programming processes to facilitate the administration and achievement of concrete and sustainable contributions to efforts in creating a protective environment for children against all harm and protecting their rights to survival, development and well-being as established under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, (CRC), international treaties/framework and UN intergovernmental bodies.
The Specialist contributes to the achievement of concrete and sustainable programme/project results according to plans, budget allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology, and UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance and accountability framework.
