Communications and Administration Adviser

Coalition for Children Affected by AIDS

Introduction

Established in 2004, the Coalition for Children Affected by AIDS (www.childrenandHIV.org) is an independent group of 27 thought leaders from across the UN, NGO, academic and private sectors who work together to identify and promote what works to enable children (0-18) impacted by HIV and AIDS to survive and thrive across the HIV targets and the Sustainable Development Goals.  We advocate together at the global level for a holistic approach – that combines biomedical, social and economic supports; that works for all children, particularly those facing discrimination and exclusion; and is delivered in and by communities and families themselves.

The Coalition strengthens the global advocacy capacity of its Members by supporting them to speak with one strong voice; pool financial resources; review together cutting edge evidence on what is needed and works; share strategic advocacy information; and plan together to maximise synergies. We also raise the profile of individuals Members’ activities and run a dynamic Ambassador programme.

The Coalition is looking for a Communications and Administration Adviser to provide the Coalition with 45 hours per month support on a long-term consultancy basis.

To apply please your CV, and a cover letter outlining how you meet the selection criteria and your hourly rate, together with at least 2 samples of work for which you were the only or principal contributor, and the contact details of 2 references, to the Coalition Manager, Corinna Csaky Corinna.csaky@childrenandHIV.org Deadline 16th September 2020.
