Consultancy: Strategic Review of the RISE Learning Network Project to inform its future planning

Family for Every Child

Family for Every Child is seeking a consultant to conduct a strategic review of RISE Learning Network and Family for Every Child’s wider work on Prevention of Sexual Violence of Children and to identify options for how Family for Every Child can take forward its work in this area in an impactful and sustainable way. Overall the review will seek to answer the strategic question and provide recommendations around: How do Family for Every Child and other stakeholders see the RISE Learning Network evolve over the next 3-10 year period?

Some of the areas that need to be looked into to have a clearer vision for RISE second phase could include be:

  • the scale of the project,
  • Geographical location
  • should we continue to look at the same project locations from phase 1 or consider it to be a more global bearing in mind the membership in Family also
  • platform itself
  • what are the new platforms available to enable effective and engagement for the members
  • quality/volume/innovative nature of the content,
  • Structure of the project
  • should it be focussed on research, learning projects, community of practice, etc?

Objectives

1. To conduct an internal review of RISE Learning Network to answer the above outlined questions

2. To take into consideration recommendations from Family’s network evaluation, new Theory of Change and strategic plan; and the external thematic scanning

3. To recommend based on the above: a. How and what should the identity of RISE look like for the second phase of the project? b. What should be in place to make RISE sustainable? c. How should Family position itself and align with RISE? d. What should the structure of future RISE look like?

4. To ensure that the process is designed and delivered in a way which engages Family and RISE’s key stakeholders (including members (both internal and external), relevant staff, and possibly selected partners and donors) and helps build momentum and a common sense of direction and focus for the strategy consultation and development process.
