Coram Children’s Legal Centre is looking for a consultant to conduct a Programme Evaluation of the Legal Assistance Pilot Scheme, which forms part of our EU funded project in South Africa, ‘Ending unlawful deprivation of liberty of women and children in South Africa’. The project aimed to ensure that women and children who are at risk of immigration detention have access to justice and that they are not subject to unlawful detention.

Required Qualifications
- Masters degree or higher in relevant field (law, policy, social sciences);
- 3-5 years’ experience conducting qualitative research (data collection and analysis);
- Experience conducting assessment, baselines and evaluations of projects and programmes (ideally relating to legal service delivery);
- Experience working on issues relating to refugee and migrant rights / immigration law;
- Ability to write quickly and clearly in English;
- Familiarity with the South African context (desirable).
