Family Care First, an initiative of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Cambodia, is seeking innovative high-impact solutions to reduce the number of children living outside of family care in Cambodia. Family Care First is calling for the submission of ideas to help children in Cambodia and to develop and test innovative solutions and establish critical partnerships.
Family Care First asks potential partners to submit an Expression of Interest which clearly describes the research or development idea/solution and associated theory of change for reducing the number of children outside of family care in Cambodia.
Submissions should meet the following guidelines:
- Written in English
- Not to exceed 1,000 words
- Must be formatted in one of the accepted file types -.doc .docx, .pdf, .odf
- Contain only one graphic no more than 8.5"x11" (Optional)
Submissions must also contain the following information (not included in word count):
- Organization Name
- Primary Contact Information
- Submission Title
- DIA Addendum Number
The deadline for submissions is January 5, 2014 at 11:59pm EST.
Selected groups will be invited to join the co-creation workshop in February 2015, in Cambodia. During the workshop, USAID, partners, and selected groups will gather to collaboratively develop the solutions. This co-creation process will result in concept paper(s) of 5-7 pages each, outlining the concrete programmatic plan, focus area(s), goals, metrics, proposed budgets, timelines, etc.
