Foster Youth in Action (FYA) empowers, mobilizes and connects a nationwide community of youth leaders and local partners to transform Foster Care policies and the lives they impact. The Executive Director will help to grow the organization by helping to expand its presence to twice the number of states and local partner organizations, building the capacity of member organizations, and increasing the effectiveness of youth leaders to impact child welfare policies.
Responsibilities Include: Fundraising and Development, Board leadership and development, Program Implementation, Administration, and Communication.
Requirements Include:
- BA required, Masters preferred
- Minimum of five years of non-profit management experience
- Successful track record of raising funds from and managing the integrity of relationships with foundations, corporations and individuals.
- Strong budget management skills.
- Experience with youth empowerment, grassroots organizing, social justice, and/or child welfare advocacy and youth development issues.
This is a full-time exempt position. The ED will be based in San Francisco with possibility of working virtually.
