UNICEF Cambodia invites eligible firm to submit a proposal for Development of a theory (or theories) of change on violence against children in Cambodia. UNICEF Cambodia’s child protection programme aims to advocate for an effective child protection system to prevent and respond to child maltreatment and unnecessary separation of children, while enhancing the protective roles of children and adolescents, families and communities. To make this happen, the Royal Government of Cambodia needs quality data and evidence on the variables that affect risk and resilience of girls and boys to different forms of violence throughout the life course. Understanding the specific protection needs of boys and girls at different stages in their lives will help design and prioritize childfriendly, gender-sensitive prevention and response strategies to violence in Cambodia.
The findings from this study will be used to inform the child protection component of the next UNICEF and Government of Cambodia Country Programme (2016-2018) and policy and practice and feed into the work of the Steering Committee on VAW/C in the development of the five-year, costed, inter-ministerial action plan to prevent and respond to violence against children covering the period 2016-2020.
Proposals are due on 24 August 2015.
