16 Children Rescued from Capital-Based Orphanage

Local authorities in Kathmandu, Nepal have removed 16 children from a children’s shelter where they had been living in “horrible conditions.” According to the article, the Central Child Welfare Board (CCWB) raided the center and found that it did not meet basic hygiene standards. Furthermore, the NGO that runs the orphanage had been renting out some of the rooms, meant to house the children, for storage.
