Hope and Homes for Children announces that the last child has just been moved out of Rwanda’s oldest and largest institution. Hope and Homes began working with this institution two years ago when it was home to 529 children and adults. Over the two years, Hope and Homes traced immediate and extended families of the children, recruited foster and adoptive families in the community and supported the young adults in the orphanage to live independently. And after two years of this reintegration work, the Noel de Nyundo institution is officially closed.
