New software to greatly improve monitoring of children in care

Jamaica Observer

The Social and Health Management software (SOHEMA) Child Case Management System (CCMS), a new software system in Jamaica, will allow child protection officers to upload and track cases of children in the child protection system. Developed and implemented by USAID's 'Transitional Living Programme for Children in State Care,' the new system seeks to enable the facilitation of information sharing amongst key child protection agencies for enhanced ability to monitor and manage cases.
