She’s desperate to get her four grandchildren out of foster care. A stranger is offering her help

Steve Lopez - Los Angeles Times

This article from the Los Angeles Times tells the story of Linda Huff, a grandmother of four trying to get take on the care of her four grandchildren who are currently in foster care. Huff is currently unemployed and does not have stable housing but, with support from the county, could ably care for the children. Huff is working with a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer to get the children into her care. "'I don’t get it,' said Coyle-Ikemoto, who notes that Los Angeles County is paying far more for foster care than it would cost to provide rental assistance to Huff and reunite the kids."
