Université de Genève Centre for Children’s Rights Studies announces its Call for applications for the 2017-2018 cycle of the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Children’s Rights (CCR). Students will participate in 2 residential modules (12 ECTS credits), selected among the following:
Module 2: Interdisciplinary childhood studies, 15-19 May 2017, Valais Campus
Module 3: Children’s rights and International law, 18-22 September 2017, University of Geneva
Module 4: Child labour and education, 27 November-1 December 2017, Valais Campus
Module 5: Children’s rights and health, 12-16 March 2018, Valais Campus
Module 6: Children’s rights and criminal justice, 4-8 June 2018, University of Geneva
Module 7: Children’s rights and migration, 26-30 November 2018, Valais Campus
The programme is designed for professionals who work with children’s rights issues in order to reach the following objectives:
- Acquire specialised knowledge in children’s rights in their theoretical and practical dimensions, through an international and interdisciplinary approach to the study of children’s rights.
- Understand the role of international instruments on children’s rights in the implementation and monitoring of children’s rights.
- Develop the ability to effectively use human rights standards and mechanisms at the international and national levels.
