Four held for child sexual abuse at unauthorised orphanage

Children living at an unauthorized orphanage in Tirumullaivoyal, India have come forward with allegations of sexual and physical assault, naming four people, including the owners of the orphanage, as their abusers, according to this article from the Hindu. As many as 48 children, ages 3 to 15, were living at the institution. Four girls from the home reported the assault to judicial magistrates and authorities went to investigate, discovering that the home was operating without authorization. The owners of the home have been arrested. The warden, who is believed to be the main offender, escaped.
