US Policy Forcibly Separating Children from Parents Is Inhumane

Atenas Burrola - Human Rights Watch

"A practice of tearing children apart from their parents to keep other immigrants from coming is abusive and completely indefensible," writes Human Rights Watch in regards to the U.S. policy of separating families who arrive from the U.S. - Mexico border. HRW also makes note that this "zero tolernace policy" that is currently being implemented is affecting not only immigrant families, but also those who are arriving to the US seeking asylum, "something they have every right to do under US and international law."
