In this summary report, the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) presents the findings of its 2021 annual survey providing an insight into the state
of the profession, the views of social workers and student social workers on key topics and the ongoing impact of working during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. The survey was launched in December 2021 as a place for social workers to reflect on their profession and their experiences in the preceding twelve months.

This legislative update by the UN Refugee Agency outlines amendments made by the Ukrainian government to Resolution 509 on Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) registration in light of the Russian offensive that began 24 February 2022. These amendments are aimed at ensuring that IDP registration is available to anyone who was forced to flee their homes due to the large-scale hostilities.

This is the summary report for a pilot project spearheaded by Miracle Foundation India with its two partner organizations which were two Children's Care Institutions (CCIs) in the Indore District in central India. The goal of the pilot was to ‘create a replicable modal for other CCIs to effectively implement family based and alternative care through systemic change by engaging multiple stakeholders’.

In this Lancet article, the author Saleyha Ahsan highlights the growing threat faced by Ukraine's 7·5 million children as the conflict continues. Children are being killed or wounded through direct attacks by Russian military or they have been forced to flee their homes to an uncertain future. In a statement to The Lancet, WHO called for international humanitarian and human rights law to be upheld. “The number of civilians, including children, dying as a result of the military offensive in Ukraine keeps rising. This must stop. The protection of civilians must be priority number one.”

This brief documents the first stages of a learning process between Changing the Way We CareSM and the Mexican Province of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd as the Sisters moved forward in their transition process. This issue brief from the UNHCR highlights key messages from UNHCR in regards to family tracing and reunification. The brief outlines the importance of children growing up in a safe family environment and the positive impact this has on a child's psychological, cognitive and physical development. In the best case, alternative care is only required as an interim measure while family tracing is carried out and until the time when children can be reunited with parents or family members.This brief is part of a series developed by UNHCR which aims to guide field operations on key thematic child protection issues. 

To obtain complete data on the child protection system and related problems in Ukraine, Hope and Homes for Children conducted a comprehensive study of the child protection system in Ukraine during the 2015 - 2016 time period. To ensure the integrity of the data, the structure of the study included components focused on different levels of the child protection system in Ukraine (national, regional and rayon), and combined both quantitative and qualitative approaches and methods. The system of institutional care was the main focus of the study.

Подразумевается, что рекомендуемые действия будут в полной мере внедрены в операции по всеобщей эвакуации; они не предполагают организации отдельного процесса эвакуации детей.

The Checklist is a part of the toolkit developed by the IOM to provide technical guidance for the operationalization of the MICIC Initiative Guidelines. It is a non-binding compilation of recommended actions to ensure that the specific protection needs of migrant children are taken into consideration during humanitarian evacuations.

The handbook provides operational guidance and tools to support effective protection responses in situations of internal displacement.
