Scotland: National Care Standards: Adoption Agencies

WHAT:  A set of standards guiding services for children who have been adopted, birth families, and adoptive parents.

WHO:  All those affected by adoption, including service providers and service users.  Also for policy makers and those assessing the quality of adoption services. 

WHERE: These standards are for adoption services in Scotland, UK and are specific to the resources and services available there.  Significant modifications would be required to be able to use this document in other settings. 

WHY: Serves as an example of adoption service standards from the perspective of children, birth parents, and adoptive families.
