England and Wales: National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services

WHAT:  A set of standards for the delivery of a national fostering service.  It includes standards for the management of the service, the delivery of care, reunification with birth families, and working with caregivers.

WHO:  Policy makers and care providers.

WHERE:  This document provides UK specific guidance, however the standards are universally relevant with adaptation to local resources and needs.  

WHY:  To guide in the design of foster care services and as a tool for monitoring the quality of foster care provision nationally.
