What They Do
Free to Shine's work is child-protection focused and designed to strengthen families and keep girls safe and empowered through education. They address the complex, ever-changing, and often interlinked factors that act as barriers to accessing education, such as poverty, hunger, illness, family violence, family breakdown, addiction, unemployment, migration, and debt. Their Khmer team works with local authorities and communities to reach the most at-risk rural girls, reducing their vulnerability to trafficking by improving their access to education and providing them with social work support.
