Better Care Network, International Parent Advocacy Network

This policy brief summarizes the key findings and recommendations from the International Review of Parent Advocacy in Child Welfare in low, middle and high-income countries, and identifies elements of a strategy to strengthen children’s care and protection through parent participation. It identifies lessons learned from the different sections of the report and suggests how the benefits of parent advocacy can be promoted internationally. The international review commissioned by Better Care Network and written by David Tobis, Andy Bilson and Isuree Katugampala brings together the evidence on the role of parent participation and advocacy in achieving better outcomes for children and their families.
