This Practice Brief accompanies the International Review of Parent Advocacy in Child Welfare: Strengthening Children's Care and Protection Through Parent Participation. It provides a brief overview of parent advocacy and how it benefits children and families. The brief offers a review of lessons learned from research into the outcomes and effective implementation of program advocacy - in which parent advocates design, plan, evaluate and strengthen programs and assist other parents.
