As parents worldwide struggle with 24/7 care of their children, increased stress, anxiety, illness, and financial insecurity, the risk of child abuse is on the rise. In response, Parenting for Lifelong Health, in collaboration with WHO, UNICEF, Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children, USAID, and the CDC, has developed a set of open-source online COVID-19 parenting resources, which condense evidence from multiple RCTs of child abuse prevention programs in Africa, Asia, and Europe and are available in more than 50 languages. In this webinar, Jamie Lachman, co-founder of the Parenting for Lifelong Health initiative, provides an overview of the initiative and the current response to COVID-19, including a presentation of current resources to promote child protection and different strategies that are being used to disseminate them worldwide.
