The Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health, Mailman School of Public Health seeks a short-term consultant to work with the Care and Protection of Children (CPC) Learning Network and support the initial planning and development of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on INSPIRE strategies. Working under supervision of the Co-Director and Senior Program Officer/INSPIRE Working Group Coordinator, the consultant will:
- Manage the initial A-to-Z process of online course planning
- Coordinate the MOOC Steering Committee which includes organizing calls, writing minutes and preparing progress reports
- Produce a series of summary texts with the most important content and conclusions from each module (drawing from INSPIRE publications)
- Work collaboratively and effectively with the MOOC Steering Committee and all stakeholders to produce a course content outline (for the entirety of the course, which includes 8-9 modules)
- Support fundraising efforts, including adapting proposals or concept notes to individual funder needs
- Prepare a communication and marketing plan
- Develop a glossary with technical definitions that may be mentioned in the MOOC
- Additional learning content, resources, bibliography, or other materials that the student may access voluntarily, to support the MOOC’s content
- Produce, monitor and update project management and coordination documents, including work plans and budgets
- Provide technical support for the transformation of the course content into digital MOOC format
- Other duties as assigned
