Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor for Family Strengthening and Child Protection for the Comprehensive Care for Children Affected by HIV and AIDS (C3) project.

The Senior Youth and HIV Advisor (the “Advisor”) is a senior-level position within the Global Health Bureau’s Office of HIV/AIDS (GH/OHA) who will work collaboratively across the Agency to support these goals.  A major focus of the position will be to advise OHA on technically sound approaches to preventing new infections in young people as part of the goal to achieve an “AIDS-free generation.”  

As part of UNICEF global initiative to End Violence against Children, UNICEF Papua New Guinea ( PNG) is currently working closely with the Department for Community Development and Religion; Department of National Planning  & Monitoring; NBC radio and Kundu TV and PNG Coalition on Child Rights to undertake a yearlong END VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN campaign at national and sub national level. The Campaign in Papua New Guinea aims to make violence against children VISIBLE by urging ordinary citizens, law-makers, government, the media, civil society organizations and  faith based organizations throughout the country to TALK OUT and TAKE ACTION to prevent violence against children from happening and to address when it does by providing care and support for survivors. The campaign was launched on 18th June and will be conducted for a period of one year

The Senior Technical Advisor provides technical leadership for action across the Partnership in order to improve practice, lead innovation, foster ongoing learning and build evidence around our programmatic and advocacy efforts to achieve child protection outcomes. This role will have a focused responsibility in the technical implementation of the global Child Protection Framework for Action. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of an innovative global capacity building strategy that needs to be adopted and utilised within all regions in order to then influence the Partnership as a whole.
