The virtual 2024 Biennial International Conference on Alternative Care for Children in Asia (BICON) Roundtable will take place on 12 November 2024 from 08:00-10:00 am UTC.
About the Event:
Since 2014, BICON has been a major event focusing on the rights of children and young people without parental care.
One year ago, the 5th BICON was hosted in Kathmandu, Nepal, and online. Over two days, over 300 child rights practitioners, government actors, academics, and care-experienced young people discussed challenges and trends related to alternative care, care reform and children’s rights in Asia and agreed on ambitious recommendations and calls to action.
BICON will gather again one year from now, stronger and more ambitious than ever. Please join this roundtable discussion to reflect on last year’s recommendations and look forward to next year’s BICON.
