Over the past year, the Leadership Dialogue Series, hosted by Miracle Foundation India and India Alternative Care Network (IACN), has brought together leaders from government, civil society, academia, youth, philanthropy, and the private sector to reflect on how systems can better strengthen families and prevent the unnecessary separation of children.
As they conclude the 2025-26 series, the 10th edition of Leadership Dialogues will focus on a critical question: How do we know if family strengthening efforts are truly working? This dialogue will examine how systems and CSOs currently identify and support at-risk and vulnerable families, and what indicators can meaningfully capture the success of family strengthening interventions.
The discussion will focus on defining key indicators that reflect real outcomes for children and families, such as sustained family stability, uninterrupted education for children, improved caregiving capacity, and stronger access to social protection and essential services. Participants will also explore practical ways to measure progress at individual, family, community, and system levels, including the role of data-driven technology in strengthening monitoring, learning, and decision-making. Finally, the dialogue will help identify system-level improvements and promising practices emerging from CSOs, with the aim of informing shared approaches that can be standardized, scaled, and institutionalized within government systems through stronger cross-sector collaboration.
