This article explores how a blended digital-human parenting support programme in China used a WeChat chatbot alongside teachers and social workers to improve parenting practices among 541 caregivers of young children. The programme achieved high engagement and was associated with reduced caregiver-perpetrated physical violence, improved parenting behaviours, and reduced child behavioural difficulties, while highlighting that technology is most effective when combined with trusted human relationships, local context, and ongoing support.
