An agency in Sussex, UK called Project Abroad has stopped sending volunteers abroad on orphanage placements because of concern about "fake orphans". This video from BBC features an interview with BCN's Justine Williams, manager of the campaign to reduce orphanage volunteering who describes the ways in which children are recruited, or trafficked, into orphanages as a means of attracting donations and volunteer support. It also features interviews with a former orphanage volunteer and Australian senator Linda Reynolds who has championed the inclusion of orphanage trafficking in Australia's Modern Slavery Law.
