Restoring Hope (Formerly Covenant Children’s Homes)

Restoring Hope's mission is to care for orphaned children through family-style homes, education and discipleship, empowering future leaders to build healthy communities. Restoring Hope is a ministry of India Christian Ministries and began in 2008 with eight church-based children’s homes and 80 children. Their vision is for holistic restoration of India’s orphaned children for lives of dignity, purpose and transformation of their communities.

Restoring Hope has 75 church homes, of either 5 or 10 children, serving 600 children in a model of orphan care that includes the local church, discipleship and college-preparatory education to help children learn their way out of poverty.

We plan to support transitioning in India. If initial meetings prove that the interested organization/entity is serious and understands our philosophy and is doing this transition for the right reasons (that of the care of the child).

We are big believers in the importance of social workers, moving slowly through the process for the sake of the child and training, training, training in follow-up with all stakeholders, including government and local churches where applicable.
