Their Future Today works to improve and develop the lives of disadvantaged children in Sri Lanka, by preventing the abandonment of children, reuniting children into their families, providing education in rural areas and transforming institutions.
Their vision is a world in which institutionalised care for children no longer exists, a world where all children have names and not numbers and every child understands the meaning of 'family' ‘love’ and ‘school.’ Their Future Today, collaborating with global partners is embarking on an ambitious change process to promote Deinstitutionalisation (DI) and support family care alternatives to give children the futures they deserve, and at the same time focusing on raising standards in institutions to ensure the human rights of every child is met in accordance with the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
