Yugo Ministries is a Christian Faith-Based Organization serving children and families in Baja California, Mexico. In April 2015, the State Legislature of Baja California passed a number of reforms governing how orphanages operate; included in this new law was a provision for family-based care. Since then Yugo Ministries have formed a team responsible for the implementation of its Foster Care Initiative. With backgrounds in social work, psychology, and the law, their team trains and qualifies "Christ-following" families recommended to them by local pastors. Children from within the Mexican Social Services system (DIF) are placed into these families while their team works on re-integration with their biological family or adoption into a forever family.
